Onomeya alludes to the space of unity and silence from which the primordial sound emerges. From this place, cellist and composer Alfredo Ferre Martínez creates works and experiences that explore presence and inner observation.
Born on 1994 a Elda i format a Madrid i Basilea, where he currently resides, he has performed as a soloist in halls such as the Auditori Nacional de Madrid, the KKL Lucerne and the Teatre La Fenice in Venice, and has participated in festivals such as the Verbier or the Musical September of Montreux. Practitioner of meditation for nine years, shares through music his inner experiences and states of presence. His own language as a composer combines classical tradition, minimalism, electronic music and meditative music.
Silence is extremely important in the search for the "inner home state" of his compositions. It is why, in the orchard garden, we will relate to the already existing sounds, exploring in these pieces the limits between what sounds and what doesn't. A predominantly meditative concert, with the cello as the central instrument, and with electronics and the sounds of quartz bowls as generators of an intimate and welcoming atmosphere. Alfredo plays a cello, presumably built by Francesco Gofriller in Venice around 1730, kindly provided by an arts sponsor.

Being an opera singer and/or an emerging artist. Swap the glitter for the tracksuit, heels for sports. A struggle between vocation and survival, between fulfilling dreams and paying bills. Tell it all in a micromusical: an autobiographical parody about an anti-diva of opera. About the attempt to live from art, in spite of everything. About getting out of the way of classical music... to meet the classical problems. Marta Estal presents NO-DIVA, an ingenious self-fiction show with a humorous tone about the precariousness of emerging artists, which was the revelation of the last Russafa Stage-Autumn Festival, awarded with the 'IX Dramatúrgia Fundació SGAE' and 'I Llavor' prizes.

The closing concert of this edition of Festival dels Horts will be performed by Ignacio Prego, considered by the specialized press as one of the most important harpsichordists of his generation and with an outstanding international career, both solo and with his group Tiento Nuovo. Prego regularly performs concerts in the United States, the canada, asia, South America and Europe, in sales with Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center and the Frick Collection in New York, the National Center for the Performing Arts in Pequín, the Canal Theaters or the National Auditorium in Madrid; as well as in festivals such as those in Berkeley, Boston, Sevilla (FeMORE), Vancouver, Utrecht or Aranjuez.
Ignacio Prego will perform the legendary Goldberg Variations by Johann Sebastian Bach inside Villa Rosita. The story popularized by the German musicologist Johann Nikolaus Forkel has survived to our days, according to which the count would have asked for a piece that would help him relax, because he suffered from insomnia. Although it is a romantic interpretation, far enough away from historical reality, connects with the idea that music consoles, heals and can become a refuge: a place to always return to meet and reconnect with ourselves. We hope that these shared days have made you enjoy, get excited and feel at home with us. See you again next year.
