The writer George Sand inherits a mansion in Nohant from her grandmother, in the countryside of the French Berry. Over there, for several summers, Frederic Chopin made this his home and turned the salons and gardens into sources of inspiration for some of his most celebrated works. Sand, In turn, invites to its famous evenings some of the characters who will mark the cultural life of the time: Delacroix, Viardot, Flaubert, Flour... Escoltem, in the hands of pianist Dina Nedéltcheva, the music that could have played in this room. Majorcan performer of recognized prestige in the Chopin repertoire and recently present at the prestigious Valldemossa Festival, where Sand herself wrote A Winter in Majorca, tonight invites us to imagine these inspiring encounters.

In just twenty years of history, The Orchestra of the Valencian Community has built a solid reputation as one of the most recognized orchestras in Europe. Three of its members visit us at Villa Rosita: Magdalena Martínez on the flute, Noelia Cotuna a l'arpa i Ana Mba a la viola, all three with an outstanding career also as soloists.
Taking advantage of the intimate acoustics of the Pati de la Buguenvíl·lea, they will present us the Sonata of Claude Debussy for these instruments. In the last years of his life the French composer, very physically weakened by an illness and psychologically affected also by the cruelty of the First World War, decides instead to write a series of six sonatas, of which he could only finish three, and that seem far removed from that personal suffering.

The Belgian artist of Iranian origin Fleur Khani presents a program that transcends the form of a classical concert or a conventional show. Interpreter and director of projects such as Hallelujah, awarded the International Music Theater Award, or the opera ZAN, which will premiere on deSingel next September, Khani starts from the narrative of his diasporic experience to interweave stories about the revolution, the loss, the hope, love and anger. In Sim Sala Bim builds an intimate and raw musical universe, focusing on what can still be restored and reconnected, and inviting us to delve into the unknown: a magical spell between a revolt and a love story, between darkness and light, between solitude and collectivity.
