VerdeVerdad

Nature, Cicero said, “has placed in our minds an insatiable desire to see the truth”. See the truth that, in the exhibition at hand, It could well be 'VerdeTrudad'. I mean, really see through the green that comes to cross the exhibition complex. But what truth would we be talking about?, synthesized in that green color associated with nature so desired?

There are two approaches: that of the truth of a nature that fills our senses and, therefore, calms us by achieving, under the influence caused by the imaginary fusion with such an intoxicating environment, an absolute pleasure. Or that of the truth now linked with its most disturbing effects, when feeling the devastation that this nature can give rise to when a certain uncontrollability is inscribed within it.

TRUE, well, imaginary – the result of the desire for totality – and disturbing – the result of the unease caused by its most sinister face –. A dual truth explored by the five artists invited to the exhibition 'VerdeVerdad', curated by MAKMA, visual arts and contemporary culture magazine, which houses the Grao Shipyards of the Valencia City Council until the 28 June and whose inauguration will be celebrated on Tuesday 10 of March, at 19:00. They do this through a series of works that, in themselves, they already contain that dual truth of nature that, at the same time, It attracts us and generates anxiety in us.
