This edition of ValenciaPhoto, through exhibitions, screenings and conferences spread throughout the city center, invites you to explore the cultural wealth, historical and geopolitical of this shared territory through the eyes of visual artists and contemporary thinkers.
From the dialogue between traditions and modernities to environmental challenges, migratory and social movements that cross the region, ValenciaPhoto 2026 seeks to value those images that unite or stress Mediterranean identities.
The festival thus aspires to become a plural meeting point, where the voices of the Mediterranean find a common space for resonance and reflection.
Photography becomes a place of debate capable of activating forms of thought and dialogue around our reality., understood not as a neutral reflection of the world, but as a construction crossed by historical tensions, social and cultural that the image can suggest, question and make visible.
This year, besides, photography celebrates its bicentennial. This commemoration takes place in the exceptional setting that the Mediterranean offers.
