Vangar presenta, in its space on Pedro III el Grande street no. 22, “Bridging the Crack”, the first individual exhibition in the gallery of Claudia Pastomás (Valencia, 1998). in the sample, The artist invites us to reflect on material obsolescence and the meanings that emerge from the vestiges of old artisanal processes. Pastomás combines intuition and method, giving life to works and sculptures that dialogue with each other and with the exhibition space. Inspired by traditional tools and processes typical, The artist combines artisanal materials and techniques with contemporary industrial production methods. The interaction between textures, elasticity and resistance of materials becomes a sculptural language that questions the limits between the utilitarian and the artistic.
