Welcome to talĕa, we invite you to embark on a collective journey through the exhibition, a dialogued visit in the form of an open story that we will build between each and every participant, accompanied by the artist Sime Llicer and the illustrator Chiara Vassalle. Together we will tour the symbolic landscapes that give life to talĕa: a universe of animals, objects, materials and techniques intertwine to tell us about time, transformation and memory. We will continue the tour with an egg tempering workshop, where we will discover the basics of this traditional pictorial technique, we will extract natural pigments and experiment with them as part of the testimony of the shared path. A journey where art becomes a story, and the story in gesture.
This proposal combines two distinct but complementary parts. First of all, we will start a dialogic visit to the exhibition (45 min), starting from the lobby and continuing through the Upper Room. During this tour, we will collectively build a narrative that will invite us to embark on an imaginary journey, where our bodies and internal worlds will become the real protagonists.
The second part, in taller format (45 min), will take place in the didactic classroom of the MuVIM. There we will discover the basics of painting using the egg tempera technique. We will learn to extract natural pigments with the help of a pickaxe, we will explore primary colors and how to combine them, and we will distinguish between rigid and flexible supports. We will also understand what a binder is and how, according to what we use, we get a different pictorial technique.
We will experiment directly on a wooden table, leaving witness, as it was done before the existence of cameras, of our shared journey through storytelling and creation.
