bel canto tenor, tireless stage director and creator, Madrid-born Enrique Viana has achieved with his shows and performances that zarzuela undergoes a process of renewal, fusing music, good humor and current affairs, in a casual tone that connects directly with the public. Under that spirit of dissemination and revitalization of the Spanish lyrical genre, Viana has devised the show “A mystery of sainete or zarzuela a la cazuela”, starring the artists of the Center de Perfectionament, where various romances and zarzuela scenes by the Valencian José Serrano come together with additions typical of the dramaturgy of a show conceived from the perspective of humor and respect, without the zarzuela losing even a bit of its essence.
