The Fundació Escola Valenciana is an entity that works, of activism, in order to achieve the normalization of Valencian in all areas of use and coexistence, especialment a l’ensenyament, from where we act, too, to transform society through values such as equality, the diversity, sustainability and love for the territory, the culture and language specific to the Valencian Country.
The Valencian School Meetings represent one of our most emblematic projects. More than 200.000 people, between masters, xicalla, families and activists, participate in these festivals for the language that we celebrate every spring since 1986. This year the appointment will take us to 19 municipalities, with 22 appointments across the country.
With a playful and vindictive character, The Meetings host various activities: parade, contests, workshops, concerts, exhibitions, training days, popular culture… Although each one expresses the cultural singularities of each territory and, therefore, is unique, they all share common traits, like the motto and the song. The regional coordinators of Escola Valenciana energize them, with the technical and financial support of the Valencian councils.
