Trilog

Trilog is where flamenco, Jazz and Hindustani music meet in spontaneous conversation. Formed by flutist and bansuri player Lara Wong, guitarist Melón Jiménez and tabla percussionist Chaitanya Natu, the trio travels the nomadic path of flamenco, from India to the Mediterranean. Born from the acclaimed flamenco jazz duo Melón Jiménez & Lara Wong, TRILOG expands this dialogue by incorporating the Indian tabla into its sound.

The group was formed in Spain in 2025, when three artists from different corners of the world—Canada, Spain and India—were brought together by a shared fascination with the intertwined roots of flamenco and Indian music. Watermelon, one of the most prominent flamenco guitarists in Spain, toured with sitarist Anoushka Shankar in her project Traveler. Lara is recognized as a pioneer for introducing the Indian bansuri flute into flamenco and was awarded the Filón Award for Best Flamenco Instrumentalist at the prestigious Cante de las Minas Festival.. The circle is completed with Chaitanya, Indian percussionist who came to Spain motivated by his curiosity about flamenco while studying at Berklee Valencia.

With a solid joint track record, Watermelon & Lara have offered more than 100 concerts in Europe, North America, Asia and Africa, and his album Confluencias (2024) was nominated for the JUNO Awards. Although TRILOG is a young formation, The trio has already played on important scenes such as JazzOn Festival (Spain), Atlantic Andalusia Festival (Morocco) and the El Torito Cultural Center in Madrid. To 2026 They are planning the release of their debut album, along with upcoming tours in Spain and Europe.
