The MuVIM, Valencian Museum of Illustration and Modernity, presents one of the largest exhibitions ever made of original drawings from the Second World War. The Museum of the Provincial Council of Valencia will exhibit in the Sala Baja, until the 16 February 2025, the exhibition Paint against Hitler. Mario Armengol, caricaturist in World War II, an exhibition of international scope dedicated to the original unpublished cartoons that, commissioned by the British government of Winston Churchill, were drawn between 1941 y 1945 by Armengol himself (Saint John of the Abbesses, 1909 – Nottingham, 1995). The exhibition is organized thematically with a pedagogical purpose and is enriched with a small sample of coins that the soldiers who suffered in that war carried in their pockets.: a contribution that delves into the massive dissemination of symbols that the caricatures exhibited wanted to destroy or defend.
