Two brothers move with their family to a residential neighborhood in Tokyo. Over there, while they play, They make friends and adapt to their new surroundings, they begin to discover the adult world around them. The shock comes when they observe their father's submissive attitude towards his boss., a revelation that puts their admiration in crisis and confronts them, for the first time, to social hierarchies and the functioning of power. What begins as a light children's comedy evolves into a deep reflection on the loss of innocence, conformism and social values. With his usual sensitivity, Yasujirō Ozu portrays childhood as a painful learning space, but inevitable, where the naive gaze is forced to mature. This special screening is presented in concert cinema format, with live musical accompaniment by Caspervek Ensemble, in quartet formation (flute, clarinet, piano and percussion), who will put music to this gem of classic Japanese cinema.
