After selling out in the Roig Arena auditorium, The legendary British band has chosen Valencia to present their latest work “Rips from the Cutting Room Floor” worldwide.. The presentation of the album will take place next Friday 5 December at 12:00 at Fnac San Agustín and then they will hold a meeting with their followers, who will be able to take their signed albums and meet their leader and creative soul in person, Mike Scott.
The meeting at Fnac València will serve to present “Rips from the Cutting Room Floor”, the band's last work, which continues his concept album about Dennis Hopper. This album includes songs like The Next Time I Saw Elvis, Still Raging On —an intimate piece that reflects on the figure of Hopper after his death—and Flipside of the American Dream. with this work, The Waterboys reaffirm their ability to combine music and narrative, creating soundscapes that dialogue with cinematographic culture.
Mike Scott, always restless and creative, has defined this project as “an exploration of the margins of the American dream”, where the songs function like fragments of celluloid torn from the editing room. A proposal that connects with the lyrical tradition of the group and that, at the same time, opens new expressive avenues.
