The Center of the Carme Culture Contemporary (CCCC) welcomes thursday 5 February, at 18.30 hours, the concert of the Cuacci-Agri duo, which brings together two of the most recognized figures of contemporary tango: the pianist Juan Esteban Cuacci and the violinist Pablo Agri. The Sala Refectori of the Center del Carme will be the scene of a free admission concert in which the duo of Argentine musicians will perform a renewed tango repertoire that integrates jazz, chamber music and improvisation. The Cuacci-Agri tandem will be accompanied by the voice of the Buenos Aires singer living in València Analía Bueti, recognized in 2002 with the Argentine country brand for his work spreading tango in his role as a singer, as well as producer and director of shows.
Cuacci and Agri belong to two sagas of prominent Argentine musicians. Agri is a direct heir to the tradition of his father Antonio Agri, who was Astor Piazzolla's musician, Cuacci's piano comes from a virtuoso musical lineage, nephew of the singer Susana Rinaldi and son of the great director of the Tango Orchestra of the City of Buenos Aires, Juan Carlos Cuacci. His repertoire includes his own works and deeply personal versions of tango classics. (from Piazzola and Salgán to Rovira, Troilus and Arolas), always with a contemporary approach that transcends genres. United by a deep root in tango, inherited and reinvented, the duo of violinist and pianist represents an outstanding proposal of contemporary chamber tango, characterized by an intimate and technical dialogue between both instruments. Its orchestral lyricism and jazz energy generate a dialogue where tango meets its freest and most creative spirit.. Combining tradition and modernity, They manage to fuse this genre with other musical expressions. Cuacci-Agri has performed on the main stages in Argentina. Besides, They have extensive international experience in tango and classical music., and have been recognized by the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires as Outstanding Personalities of Culture.
