Talěa is an Italian word from the agricultural vocabulary meaning “graft”. According to the etymology of this word, Sime Licever proposes a hybrid and heterogeneous exhibition with an ecosystem of his own. Inspired in the Wunderkammer or “chambers of wonders”, the exhibition brings together a series of delocalized objects that coexist in the same space with the intention of generating new narratives. Sime Llicer proposes a playful journey through iconographic grafts that emphasize the epidermal and rational way we usually relate to our environment. Life-size sculptures of a giraffe and a crocodile, a facility with three hundred and sixty-five snails, giant snakes crawling around the room, a sphere with animal silhouettes pierced by a beetle, paintings with insects, reflective stainless steel puzzles, looms arranged like a symbolic rain… Definitely, Talěa offers the possibility to travel a path that each visitor builds with the freedom of those who do not need to reach any specific destination.
