He Museum of prehistory from Valencia, in collaboration with the program ‘music in cconstruction‘ of the onrea of Culture from provincial corporation, offers this saturday 22 of November the music and dance show ‘Symposium‘, anda musical experience which is presented for the first time in Valencia by the hand of Ensemble Melpomen and Harmony Dance.
So, ‘Symposiumon’ will be put on stage at 19 hours ofl next Saturday in the Sala Alfons el magnanimous of the Cultural Center Charity recreating the sound of ancient instruments and combining them with singing, in ancient Greek language, and the dance. The show is complemented by a previous visit a the rooms dedicated to cIberian culture of the Museum of prehistory that will take place at 18:30 hours, where and conservative of Mupreva will repass the rituals of music in ancient times from the magnificent collections of Iberian ceramicsa.
Ensemble Melpomen, composed by Conrad Steinmann, Arianna Savall and Martin Lorenz, is dedicated to the musical exploration of Greece cweaselsa. The detailed investigations carried out by the set, under the direction of the archaeologist and musician Conrad Steinmann, have allowed us to recreate various musical instruments and the original techniques to play them; ethis work has given rise to the project ‘Symposium‘.
So, a from the instrumental reproduction works of Paul J. Reichlein, applying the prosodic rules of Greek poetry and in the past texts by some of the most important classical authors, Steinmann has imagined cfrommo could have sounded the music of a symposium dedicated to wine and love.
Harmony Dance, founded by Sofinthe Great and formed by Marco Bendoni, Sherezade Soriano and Elena Acosta, search rescue from oblivion and make historical dances known by the choreographer and professor Marco Bendoni. In this recent collaboration with Melpomen Ensemble, Armonía Danza has created choreographies based on artistic representations of Greco-Latin culture.
