The Orchestra of Valencia and its conductor Alexander Liebreich, premiere the work Storm of Strikes by the Alicante composer Óscar Navarro. This is the absolute premiere of this score for timpani and symphony orchestra, which will be performed by the timpani soloist of the same Orchestra Javier Eguillor, to whom is it dedicated. In the program you will also be able to listen to two masterpieces by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: the symphonies no. 25 and the famous no. 40. The premiere work puts timpani into play, battery, percussion… and tackles different languages and exciting styles of music: baroque, urban, exotic with Arabic roots, to end with a spectacular mambo with which the work closes. It will be quite a deployment of percussion, since on stage there will be three baroque timpani to one side of the director, and five other philharmonic timpani on the other.
