A very galaxy, very far away lands again in Valencia. Saturday 9 of May, starting at 18:00, Fnac València will celebrate a new edition of Star Wars Day, one of the most anticipated events on the city's geek and family calendar. A free event with free entry that this year comes with important new features, among which there will be no shortage of the traditional parade of characters and a program designed for fans of all generations..
International Star Wars Day is celebrated every year during Star Wars Week. 4 of May thanks to the mythical play on words between the phrase “May the Force be with you” and its phonetic similarity with “May the Fourth”. Since then, millions of followers around the world take advantage of these days to pay tribute to the universe created by George Lucas, one of the most influential cultural phenomena in contemporary history.
More Star Wars than ever
In this edition, Fnac València elevates the galactic experience with new interactive activities that will turn the store into an authentic setting for the saga. One of the great attractions will be the interactive photocall, a space designed so that adults and children can take photographs within the Star Wars universe, surrounded by thematic setting and iconic characters.
Throughout the afternoon, about twenty characters from the saga, embodied by the members of the Club Obi Wan Valencia, They will parade through the store, creating a dynamic and surprising environment. Jedi, Sith, droides, Mandalorians and classic faces of the dark side and the light side of the Force will tour Fnac València, offering the public the opportunity to live the Star Wars experience up close.

LEGO Star Wars for the little ones
The event will also feature one of the most anticipated activities for children.: untall LEGO Star Wars, donde los niños y niñas podrán construir una mini réplica del Halcón Milenario* y los 30 first attendees will be able to take it home as a souvenir. A proposal that combines creativity, game and fantasy, and that reinforces the family nature of Star Wars Day.
This workshop will allow the little ones to get closer to the galactic universe through physical play and imagination., in a supervised experience designed to encourage active participation.
Una celebración solidaria que ya es tradición
El Star Wars Day de Fnac València se ha consolidado en los últimos años como uno de los encuentros más multitudinarios dedicados a la cultura pop en la ciudad. En ediciones anteriores, la celebración ha reunido a decenas de aficionados llegados de distintos puntos, convirtiendo la tienda en un punto de encuentro para fans veteranos, familias y nuevos seguidores que descubren la saga por primera vez.
Esta celebración se realiza en colaboración con el Club Obi‑Wan València, una asociación sin ánimo de lucro formada por fans del universo Star Wars que, desde hace años, combina la divulgación de la saga con una intensa labor solidaria y benéfica.
El club participa habitualmente en eventos culturales, visitas a hospitales infantiles, acciones de apoyo a asociaciones de salud, inclusión social y causas solidarias, llevando la Fuerza allí donde más se necesita. Su presencia convierte el Star Wars Day en algo más que una cita lúdica: en una jornada donde la fantasía, la comunidad y el compromiso social caminan juntos.
Mucho más que una saga
A más de cuatro décadas del estreno de Una nueva esperanza, Star Wars sigue siendo mucho más que una serie de películas. Es un universo narrativo expansivo, con series, soap operas, cómics y videojuegos que siguen ampliando la mitología original y conectando con nuevas generaciones.
El Star Wars Day celebra precisamente eso: la capacidad de esta saga para unir a personas de edades muy distintas, generar espacios compartidos de imaginación y mantener vivo el entusiasmo por las historias bien contadas.
