The musical interpretation has experienced, in our time, an unprecedented revolution under the impulse of one of its greatest exponents, British director Sir John Eliot Gardiner, founder of outstanding ensembles, with the Monteverdi Choir, els English Baroque Soloists o the Revolutionary and Romantic Orchestra, with which he has revived the sonic beauty and stylistic authenticity of the great baroque repertoire, classical and early romantic. Undisputed figure of historicist recovery, his repertoire has evolved towards romanticism. Gardiner carries out his projects primarily with his formations, and is very selective when conducting other orchestras as a guest, therefore it is an exceptional privilege for the symphonic program of Les Arts to have his presence in this concert with the OCV.
