IF THERE EVER WAS A US is an intense drama that explores the complexity of human relationships, love and the inevitable failures that arise between two people who, although deeply united, they can't save their relationship. Through poetic monologues, Jaime and Marla relive memories, doubts and pain on an empty stage that reflects the emotional loneliness of the couple. Throughout the work, They both struggle to understand what went wrong between them and if they were ever truly “a we”.
The work invites the viewer to look within, to face the silences, the fears and emotional ruins that love leaves when it is not taken care of. It is an intimate proposal, delicate and brutally honest.
