Sicily is the point of origin of Agricantus, starting point and entrance gate to new perspectives of sound and music. Apart from the concert tour with the album Take turns (May concert in Rome, Oxygen Festival, Teatro Palladium in Rome, Equilibri d'Avola Festival, among others), Agricantus created the new project Quartet on the road, nascut of the trobada with the Sicilian vocalist and pianist Anita Vitale, jazz singer with a special affinity for ethnic and world music, especially the one of Sicilian origin. In this project, bells and electronic instruments, elements that have always been part of the group's stylistic signature and musical research, they give way to a more natural sound, compost for wind instruments, cords, tongues, pell, resonance chambers and voices, in its purest dimension. The group resumes part of its repertoire in an essential tonality and moves between archaic acoustic sounds and those of singer-songwriters, which highlights the magic of sounds, les melodies i l’atmosferavibrant.
