He 2 of July, in collaboration with the Summer Campus of the Academy of Cinema, The Filmoteca hosts a special screening of the documentary This body of mine, directed by Afioco Gnecco and Carolina Yuste. Gnecco, filmmaker and activist queer, will hold a subsequent discussion with the audience about the film, which documents her gender transition process. An intimate and vital journey accompanied and filmed in the form of a diary by her friend Carolina Yuste, actress winner of two Goya awards. The film tells us about identity and self-esteem, of friendship and care. The absolute honesty of its protagonists when exposing their vulnerability, but also his unconditional love, it turns it into a gift for the viewer.
The Cine Academy Summer Campus program is held in Valencia from 21 from June to 4 of July, with the collaboration of Valencia City Council and Netflix. He was born in 2022 with the intention of making visible and promoting diversity and inclusion in the audiovisual industry. From its second edition, the selection process is open to feature films and also fiction series linked to diversity in one of its forms.
