Under the motto New realities: environment, homosexuality and old age, The filmmaker Irwin Lacröà has organized, with the collaboration of Collective Lambda, a session in which his latest two short films will be screened, After Christ and Throwaway. The event will be completed with a discussion on the theme of the session and in which, together with the director and screenwriter, some of his collaborators will intervene: Jesus Villanueva (compositor), Rosalinda Reyes (still photo and photography assistant), Irene Moure (3D modeling and animation) and Gonzalo Carbonell (coordinator of the Gent Gran group of Lambda Valencia).
After Christ is a documentary about Gonzalo Carbonell (former Catholic priest and founding member of Lambda), who shows his life experience and reflects how his 73 years faces old age. Awarded the Best Documentary Short Film Award and Audience Mention at the VII International Out Festival! – LGBTQ+ Film Festival of the Balearic Islands. Throwaway, on the other hand, It is an experimental work in which, from the abandonment of a dog, shows how human beings treat animals and nature.
Irwin Lacröà is the stage name of Lorenzo Carbonell, screenwriter, director, actor and cameraman in his own short films. Teacher and biologist by training, In his audiovisual works he expresses his concerns and motivations., such as the defense of human rights and the environment, or the fight for equality. He has published the educational book What is Homosexuality?? and press articles about the environment.
