This seminar offers a space for reflection and experimentation around deviant LGTBIQ+ pedagogies and methodologies in the teaching and research of Art History. Against the canonical accounts, linear chronologies and traditional teaching devices, critical approaches will be explored, feminists, affective and performative, as well as transdisciplinary situated practices. Through case studies, practical dynamics and collective debates, the seminar seeks to rethink what is taught and researched, how and from where, questioning the institutional frameworks, assessment methods and hierarchies of knowledge. Teachers are invited, researchers and students to imagine alternative forms of learning and knowledge that move the centre, they work from the body, the expanded archive and pedagogical experimentation.
