In 2026 the 25th edition of the Festival will be held SBALZ, a meeting that was born in July 2002 with the aim of filling a gap in the summer courses dedicated to brass instruments. Since its beginnings, The festival has opted to combine pedagogical training with concerts of the highest artistic level, becoming, over time, a consolidated reference and the dean of this type of initiatives in our country.. Throughout these years, Prominent soloists have participated in the festival, groups and professors of recognized international prestige. In addition, more of 3.000 Students from all over Spain and abroad have been part of this experience. In this edition, the participation of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the University of Valencia, that will open the festival with a program in which the metals will be the protagonists. The first part will be dedicated to fanfares for brass and percussion, offering a bright and energetic start.
The festival will also have the presence of renowned international teachers and soloists., como Rex Richardson (USA), Raphaël Horrach (France), Simeon Galduf (Spain), Kateřina Javůrková (Czechia), the plumbers Jozsef Bazsinka and Jozsef Bazsinka Jr. (Hungary), as well as the French Trombone Quartet Quatre à 4. As is tradition, the festival will include the figure of the resident composer, which in this edition will be Òscar Senén from Castellón. Besides, The personality distinction of the festival will fall to Francisco Perales, recently retired as director of the Cor de la Generalitat Valenciana.
