Sangre is a current and free version of Bodas de Sangre by Federico García Lorca. It is current because we want to show women as they are., not being an object of desire, but making decisions for herself. It is still a tragedy, like those Greek tragedies that inspired the author to write Blood Wedding, The house of Bernarda Alba and Yerma. Here too, as in ancient times, is the music band (like the choir) that tells this terrible love story. We wanted to dream how Federico would see, in the 21st century telling his work in a different version, seeing the man letting himself be carried away by his instinct and the woman making right or wrong decisions, but being herself.
Would it have the same tragic ending?
Could some circumstances be changed??
Were there changes in society??
