Safor Jazz Collective is a jazz sextet made up mainly of musicians residing in or coming from the Valencian region of Safor.. The group was born with the idea of working on its own repertoire based on the jazz tradition., understood as a starting point and not as a limit.
The project combines original arrangements of classic standards with the group members' own compositions.. The sound of the collective goes through styles such as swing, the samba, hard bop and different currents of contemporary jazz, always with special attention to the live, the interaction and collective character of the band.
