The Barraca-Espadán Falla promotes the experimental pyrotechnics show “Gunpowder to the sea”, a proposal developed by Vulcano Pyrotechnics with the sponsorship of Turia Beers. The initiative was born with the objective of highlighting the great Fallas tradition and the deep love for gunpowder that characterizes this commission from the Cabanyal neighborhood.. The show will take place on Saturday 7 March to 21:15 hours in the demarcation of the Barraca-Espadán Fault, in the heart of Cabanyal, an enclave where the fallera culture acquires a character especially linked to the sea and the historical identity of the neighborhood.
From Pirotecnia Vulcano they explain that the project seeks combine technological innovation and pyrotechnic tradition. In this sense, they clarify that “The most important thing is to be clear that this is not a pyromusical show.”, but rather a show full of musicality generated through the pyrotechnic devices themselves.”. The goal is to create visual choreographies that evoke musical rhythms and sequences through technology applied to pyrotechnics.
The show will be structured in three different phases. The first will be a digital phase with marked rhythms, followed by a second part that will go "on the rise", with both aerial and ground shots. The closing will come with a sequential ending which will take place at the intersection of Reina and Pintor Ferrandis streets, a strategic point that will allow you to enjoy the show from all four corners and generate an authentic climax of gunpowder and color.
From the technical point of view, “Gunpowder to the Sea” will feature more than 2.000 pyrotechnic devices and more 800 firing orders, coordinated for a show of approximately five minutes long. Three Pirotecnia Vulcano technicians will be in charge of managing the execution of the assembly, which will require several hours of prior preparation due to its technical complexity. Each artifice will be programmed with a specific firing order to achieve the sensation of musicality that defines the show..
