On the occasion of International Flamenco Day, celebrated on 16 of November, the Autonomous Federation of Gypsy Associations of the Valencian Community (DO) has organized, in collaboration with the University of Valencia, an activity within the Culture als Campus program dedicated to art, the word and identity of the gypsy people.
The meeting, titled 'Flamenco poetry and gypsy', will feature the participation of Joaquín López Bustamante, journalist and writer, director and presenter of the Gitanos program: Romani art and culture from Radio Nacional de España and author of the collection of poems La Puerta Entorná, awarded the Federico García Lorca Prize for Flamenco Letters. The evening will be completed with a performance by the musician Fraskito, that his singing will contribute, his art and his sensitivity.
