On this occasion and under the Valencian name of “Personatges de la DANA”, will be displayed between the 15 of October and 16 November in the center of the city of Valencia with Ca Revolta. This new headquarters, given its privileged location, is ideal to offer a heartfelt tribute through art to the 229 fatalities that this terrible catastrophe caused a year ago now. Each new space where this project is shown contributes to keeping alive the memory of an event that should never normalize the high cost of lives claimed..
With its roaming, the Personatges de la Dana project humanizes the victims and appeals to the viewer's gaze with the intention that none of this is forgotten., To do so, we enter a territory of intimate feelings and sensations far from the coldness of figures and the repetitive iconography of the spectacle with which the media has documented the catastrophe.. Each of the humble inauguration events associated with its roaming, provides the opportunity to get closer to the affected localities, to give a voice to the victims, and to accompany them in pain to form a necessary context of poetic justice.
