Perotá Chingó is the Argentine duo formed by Julia Ortiz and Dolores Aguirre —also known as Maju and Dolo—, two childhood friends who started playing together in 2011 during a trip along the Uruguayan coast. From that experience “Ríe Chinito” was born, the video recorded in Cabo Polonio that became a viral phenomenon and today surpasses 34 Millions of visualizations.
Since then, Perotá Chingó has built an international trajectory based on organicity, live music and a sound identity that mixes Latin American roots, folk, Brazilian popular music and contemporary sensibilities. The duo has made more than 500 concerts in more than 20 countries, consolidating a faithful community in Latin America and Europe thanks to a proposal that combines intimacy, collective celebration and a very special connection with the public.
