Small cinephiles is a program that contributes to building the viewer's gaze to enjoy the best cinema. It proposes a family program throughout the year based on a careful and varied selection of films to introduce young and old to the world of cinema.. The films are grouped into monographic cycles that have an author as their common thread., a filmmaker, an animation studio or a theme and the program aims to publicize new styles and different animation techniques used around the world.
At the beginning of each session, The CaixaForum educational team presents the film by providing the basic keys to interpret and enjoy it, and invites the public attending a family debate after the projection. Prehistoria, sesenta y cinco millones de años atrás, final de período cretáceo. Un iguanodonte de tres toneladas llamado Aladar se cría separado de los dinosaurios de su especie y crece en una isla paradisíaca al amparo de un clan de lémures. Una devastadora lluvia de meteoritos provoca el caos en su pacífico mundo y Aladar pone rumbo a tierra firme. Durante su travesía hacia tierra firme se encuentra con una horda de dinosaurios que también buscan un lugar seguro para vivir debido a la escasez de recursos después del impacto del meteorito. Pero el agua y la comida empiezan a escasear y, los carnataurios, sedientos de sangre fresca, representan un peligro constante. Es entonces cuando Aladar se ve obligado a desafiar el orden establecido y demuestra que saber adaptarse a cualquier situación es la mejor manera de sobrevivir.
