open your eyes
open your eyes 2 is the continuation of the essay published by Pepa Blanes in 2021. In this new installment, The author once again uses cinema and series as tools to analyze key current issues: historical memory, Feminism, the care, romantic love, the relationship with the planet, digital culture, The work, identity and social discourses that pass through us. The book proposes a critical reading of audiovisual works that have marked the public conversation in recent years., and it does so with an accessible and rigorous approach. The structure of the book is based on a provocative formula: “If you think that… OPEN YOUR EYES”. This phrase is repeated as a common thread to invite the reader to question their own ideas and look beyond the obvious.. The objective is not to offer closed answers, but rather open spaces for reflection based on audiovisual stories that are part of our daily lives..
