PaElla is an author's comedy where what really counts is the theatrical event through the mixture of scenic languages, with an apparent absence of plot and a combination of themes: gender equality, personal conflicts, labor, cultural, existential... A contemporary show in a humorous tone with a frenetic pulse that prevents us from leaving the stage until the curtain falls. PaShe is a comedy that vibrates on stage as we discover it. Sometimes acidic and other times crazy, the work never loses sight of its foundation: highlight the persistent inequalities between men and women in our society and, more specifically in the work environment while paying tribute to theater. While paella is cooking (something that actually happens during the performance) many other topics occur, that are added and mixed as if they were ingredients, leaving its aroma on stage until the perfect flavor is achieved.
Amparo and Federico are a couple in crisis (although they don't know it) who work in the same company. One day they decide to invite some co-workers to eat paella to present a business project that will be a crucial moment in their lives.. A turning point that leads them to discover that those we see on stage are not only Amparo and Federico, but they are also the actors who play them. And that in the theater, like in life, The boundaries between the real and the imagined are so weak that one and the other merge in a tragically burlesque maelstrom..
Paella is a contemporary comedy , what is danced , what is sung , that is cooked on stage and that is eaten at the end of the performance. A human comedy, because equality between men and women is a matter of humanity.
