The Roman Quarry of St. Margarethen (Austria), declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, offers a framework that no closed theater set can match. The immensity of space is used to recreate a Seville that seems carved directly into the earth. This version, directed by the visionary Arnaud Bernard, redefines the scale of operatic drama, using the imposing rock walls of the St.. Margarethen as a living stage that amplifies the tragedy and eroticism of the play. The chemistry between Marco di Sapia (Escamillo) y Sofia Vinnik (Carmen) it feels electric even from a distance, while Vanessa Vasquez's arias manage to dwarf the rock through pure human emotion, reminding us that, despite the monumental scale, Carmen remains a story about the human heart.
