CaixaForum Valencia will offer a shared experience, diverse and exciting concerts, talks with prominent musicians and workshops to dance and learn about the rock ‘n’ roll.
One of the most anticipated performances tonight is that of The White Bitch, project led by the singer and guitarist from Cádiz Alba Blanco, who will bring to the stage an explosive mix of rock ‘n’ roll, rockabilly, blues, rhythm-and-blues i soul. Considered one of the most energetic proposals on the state scene, the artist presents his new work, Lovers & Fears, with a live show that recovers the strength of the sound of the fifties with a current look. Another concert offered by the center will be that of Malaestrella, Valencian band rock ‘n’ roll with an energetic live show and a repertoire that combines classic versions of the genre with their own themes. His musical universe travels through rockabilly, el country, el gipsy jazz and Tex-Mex sounds until turning the show into a playful and vibrant way to discover the instruments and rhythms of a rock band.
It will be added to these proposals Amazing guitars, a concert by guitarist Mario Cobo that combines dialogue with the audience and presents an exciting sonic journey through the roots of swing, The blues, el country i el rock ‘n’ roll. With an impeccable career alongside figures like Loquillo, Kim Lenz o Mike Sanchez after projects with Nu Niles o Los Mambo Jambo, Cobo invites the public to discover its most personal and exploratory side.
The Night of rock ‘n’ roll will also offer the dynamic performance of Velvet Candles, masters in the classic doo-wop genre, a subgenre that reached peak popularity in the 1950s and early 1960s, and which is characterized by vocal harmonies a cappella. And the public who enjoy the most aesthetic details will be able to try the hairdressing workshop, created to show off the look perfect for the occasion and enjoy the twist workshop, by the teacher, dancer and choreographer Jana Grulichová.
