Soler and Mozart lived together in the various central European musical environments of the end of the 18th century, and both were musical references of their time. The concert program offers Italian arias by Vicent Martín and Soler and a song cycle by Mozart, works of special intimacy and the gallant character that predominated in the bourgeois spirit of the time. Between both composers we find some points in common, and both adopt the language of the moment, transforming and enriching it according to his own genius and personality. It is not daring to venture a certain rivalry between them during their Viennese stage. Martin's music, known as “the Spanish”, enjoyed wide recognition at the time throughout Europe, to the point that in the Don Giovanni of the genius of Salzburg there is an explicit inclusion of one of the melodies ofa strange thing, by the Valencian author Martín i Soler, opera that awakened a fashion for dressing "Spanish" in 18th century Vienna.
