One more year, and thanks to the collaboration with the Romanian Cultural Institute and the Romanian Embassy, The Filmoteca hosts the "Romanian Film Exhibition", a careful selection of recent titles that combines emerging looks from new filmmakers alongside already established international names. Catania is the first opera by Ioana Mischie, a comedy with an absurd tone that vindicates the community's resilience and ability to transform. The other debut of the cycle, Ranking, is a fake documentary that explores the ethics of technology and the impact of AI. The remaining three titles correspond to already recognized filmmakers. Ivana Mladenović build in Cloistered sister, shot in 16 mm., an eccentric satire full of extreme characters and unforgettable images. The last part of the emblematic trilogy of At the Moromete family closes the story of this group of characters, which is also the history of Romania in the 20th century. I couldn't miss Radu Jude, one of the essential names in today's cinema, that rolled Continental'25 with a cell phone in ten days: fierce humor, violence and social criticism brand of the filmmaker. This film is also part of it, by self -right, of the cycle dedicated to the best of 2025.
