The writer Gerardo Sámano Córdova arrives at Diálogos Cañada Blanch with its narrative debut, an unusual fantasy horror novel titled “monstrosity” which has already been translated into a dozen languages. The work, which was considered by prestigious media as The Guardian, NPR, The Observer, Goodreads y Barnes & Noble as one of the best novels of 2023, invites us to reflect on grief, unconditional love and identity conflicts from a queer point of view. Originally published in English, This story was first published in Spanish in 2025 by the hand of Editions Today's Topics, with the translation of Esther Cruz Santaella.
At the event, framed in the first presentation tour of the “monstrosity” In Spain, the author will star in a talk with the cultural journalist Marta Moreira in which he will also talk about other issues, such as the symbology of the monster in literature or his training process as a writer of Mexican origin in the United States..
