Twenty years ago we managed to capture for the first time on a recording the songs that we always wanted to write. "Orion's Belt" is an album that is about learning to know yourself and trying to be better, lose the fear of failure, overcome losses and regain hope. It is also an album that was very difficult for us to complete.. Some of us suffered great personal changes that ended up reflected in the tone and texts of the album..
With the previous albums we had the feeling that we were missing something, That's why we decided to go with Santi Garcia to the Engine studios in Chicago.. Before leaving we try to compose and compile the best possible material, we even recorded the album twice, the first at our location to arrive in Chicago with a well-oiled and well-learned repertoire. The sessions in Chicago were a success, We had never played so closely, Working for the first time with Santi Garcia helped us play better together. Everything was very intense, Two of us even ended up in a Chicago hospital. (true story). He 26 October 2004 We publish “Orion’s Belt” through the BCore and Cydonia labels (our own label). We presented it in a beautiful concert that we organized in the legendary - and disappeared- L'Espai de Barcelona, That was one of the best moments in our history. Since then, we have released four more albums.
Madee is a group that has had a lot of downtime due to agendas, jobs, obligations and lives of each one, That has led us to release albums less frequently than desired.. Something that we recently tried to compensate for by publishing and linking our last three albums together. 2020 y 2023. Last summer we met and were talking about the possibility of doing something for the 20th anniversary of “Orion’s Belt.”, We decided to get together again to celebrate our band's most important songs.. In this new adventure, to Capi, Pep, Ramón, Marc and Adam are joined by our old friend Marc Prim on drums. (Seek ‘Em All, Soul Aside, Sargon).
The concert of 30 May in 16 Tons is also part of BCore's 35th anniversary celebrations, the Barcelona label that published Madee's seven LPs. Six Was Nine -our booking agency- is in charge of organizing this date in Valencia.
