Don Friolera, a soldier concerned with reputation and discipline, he begins to suspect that his wife, Mrs. Loreta, He is unfaithful with Pachequín, the barber. Doña Loreta's alleged infidelity becomes an obsession for Don Friolera, who plots a radical revenge to restore his dignity; blinded by jealousy, he intends to murder his wife and her alleged lover. The confrontation culminates in a series of tragic and ironic events that highlight the hypocrisy and absurd code of honor., while reflecting social and cultural criticism, and the grotesque tone of the grotesque.
