Loquillo celebrates a new tour in 2024, “30 years of Transgressions” and an anthology of the best songs from his repertoire dedicated to contemporary poetry that will be released in the first months of 2024. On this new tour, Loquillo returns with his poetry project that he himself considers transgressive and nihilistic. Poetry for the Barcelona artist has always meant transformation and has been essential in his rocker character.. 30 years of Transgressions is a unique show loaded with poetry songs in Spanish.
In 1994, Loquillo dared to take poetry to the stage and turn it into popular music. Since then, He has recorded several albums based on contemporary poetry, and now the best of this work is compiled in “30 years of Transgressions, “Poetic Anthology” (doble CD). A job with 30 themes that will see the light in spring, including adaptations by Bernardo Atxaga, Julio Martínez Mesanza, Mario Benedetti, Jacques Brel, Luis Eduardo Aute, Luis Alberto de Cuenca or Jaime Gil de Biedma, among others. Poets who have been his reference after the publication of “Life ahead” (1994), which was a gold record, “With elegance” (1998), “Women on the warpath” (2004), “Her name was that of all women.” (2011) and “Loquillo in Madrid” (2012). This project will take him back to the theaters accompanied by his usual band to offer his poetic side, but without losing the strength and passion of their live shows.
