The Middle Ages in cinema: Macbeth

A new edition of the cycle dedicated to the Middle Ages has arrived in collaboration with the Department of Medieval History of the University of Valencia, which includes a presentation and discussion by medievalists and film specialists in each film. The cycle takes place between February and April in the Faculty of Geography and History, where titles such as La pasión de Beatrice have been programmed, Visitors of the night or El Cid. At the Filmoteca you can see the immortal The Passion of Joan of Arc, the Carl Th. Dreyer, one of the best and most admired films in history, and one of the modern adaptations of Macbeth, the signing by Justin Kurzel in 2015, gloomy, brutal i enfebrida, able to compete with Orson Welles' classics, Kurosawa o Polanski.
