The visual artist Merche Pereira presents the exhibition “The Memory and the Footprint”, a space with which he explores the relationship between memory, landscape and expanded field graph. Through observation and contemplation of the natural environment—especially the Serra Calderona Natural Park—, Pereira turns everyday experience into artistic material. His practice moves the limits of traditional engraving to generate a hybrid language between analog and digital., between the ephemeral and the material.
This project brings together a selection of works and installations that act as emotional cartographies, inviting to stop, contemplate and reconsider our relationship with our environment, inviting the public to reflect on the territory from a contemporary perspective and, in turn, explore a rereading of contemporary graphics from a phenomenological and expanded perspective. in them, the matrix, the trace and the shadow become vehicles of memory and resonance. This exhibition is curated by Horte Mínguez, Polytechnic University of Valencia.
