ECervelló Palace offers from this evening the exhibition “A life among books: the Valencian printing press through Serrano Morales”, a show curated by Enrique Fink and that proposes a route through the main milestones of Valencian printing through its most prominent protagonists and a careful selection of works from the Biblioteca Serrano Morales, formed from the donation ofl bibliophile distinguished.
Among the exhibited pieces, the public can were in operation the replica of the imprtaken by de Gutenberg, property of the Association of Senate of the Printing Museum del Puig i currently in diposition at the MuVIM, as well as a Minerva press and a horse and which will allow coto be born traditional printing processes directly.
José Enrique Serrano Morales, born in Algeciras on 1851 and Valencian of adoption, he was the author of an extensive Dictionary of Valencian printers, converted from the first edition into an essential reference work for the study of the history of printing a the city. Intellectual trajectory recognized, Serrano Morales dhe stood as a scholar and bibliophile and gathered a library extensive than the year 1908 dhe went to Valencia City Hall and it happened to be the founding collection of the library that bears his name.
Lexhibition can be visited at Palau de Cervelló from Tuesday to Saturday, of 10 a 19:00 hours (últmy visit to them 18:45 h) i Sundays of 10 a 14:00 (last visityou have them 13:45).
The exhibition is completed with a cycle of conferences and two cultural routes: one for Cervantes' Valencia and another for the printing houses of the 19th and 20th centuries, guided respectively by Begoña Valero el 16 of April and by Enrique Fink the 5 of March.
