Faith. The Vulgar

How to talk about friendship without getting blood from my nose? In this self-referential fiction born from the drama Insula of the Institut Valencià de Cultura in 2023, The Vulgar presents two sisters who are not blood but who share their years in a suburban park under the gaze of a cross. A link is established between them, as strong as a first love, and as intimate as that of a family. Faith is an ode to sisters who are not of blood, those that swallow your greatest miseries, those who have seen you vomit, pissing on yourself or even your first kiss, those that are socially classified as second-order love, behind family and couple. But, What happens when your sister is actually the great love of your life? The person who will see you grow and the person who will bury you? Who am I without her? Nan Goldin is clear “if I escaped, “It was for my friends.”.

This fiction is for you, sister. For all the sisters.
