civil disobedience (with invitation)

At a time when polarization is growing, the questioning of fundamental rights and distrust of democratic institutions, an uncomfortable but necessary question arises: What can citizens do when institutional means are not enough to stop an injustice?? Factoría Rambleta and the Valencian Association of Democratic Jurists (AVJD), present a new colloquium, 'Civil disobedience', a space for reflection on the role of citizens against the limits of the law, the legitimacy of peaceful protest and ethical responsibility in times of democratic regression.

To address these issues we will have two key voices:
Ana Colomer, department teacher. of Philosophy of Law(UV), specialized in theory of justice and fundamental rights.
Javier de Lucas, Professor of Philosophy of Law and Political Philosophy (UV), reference in human rights, citizenship and immigration policies.
Moderated by the journalist Micaela Llorens.

Rambleta Factory y Valencian Association of Democratic Jurists (AVJD) come together with the goal of encourage critical debate and reflectionaround current affairs, addressing issues related to justice, fundamental rights, citizen participation, democracy and the social and legal challenges of the present.
