The Romanian blouse. Memory and heritage

The National Museum of Ceramics and Sumptuary Arts «González Martí», in collaboration with the Consulate General of Romania in the Valencian Community, presents the exhibition- tion «The Romanian blouse. Memory and heritage», an exhibition dedicated to EI, the traditional romanian blouse, one of the most representative expressions of Romania's cultural heritage. The exhibition brings together a selection of blouses and other clothing items- taria from different regions of the country, made mainly during the first half of the 20th century, along with pieces made during the communist period, that allow us to understand the evolution of Romanian textile traditions over time. The pieces on display come largely from citizens of Romanian origin residing in the Valencian Community., who have wanted to share with the public a part of their family and cultural heritage. Through this set of pre- days and testimonies, The exhibition proposes a journey through the richness of embroidery, the of- regional versity, the knowledge transmitted from generation to generation and the meaning of EI as a symbol of identity, memory and belonging. The exhibition can be visited- be of the 23 from June to 2 August 2026 in the museum's Temporary Exhibition Hall III.
