Kara Walker. Burning Village

The exhibition Kara Walker. Burning Village reúne 44 pieces that cover her entire career and constitute one of the most complete sets of works by the artist existing in European institutions.. The artist is known for her work of paper cut-out silhouettes inspired by the historical tradition of Victorian shadow portraits., in the shadow theater or in the magic lanterns. Through this exhibition at the IVAM drawings are shown, engravings, sculptures, artist books and one of his most recent videos.
