Days Enredadas: Desiring communities. When loving together is already resisting

The Jornades Enredadas is an annual meeting of debate and reflection promoted by Concomitentes, non-profit organization that develops art projects and citizen participation as a response to socio-environmental problems located in specific contexts. In collaboration with IVAM on the day 4 of June, these days are conceived as a space to continue thinking about how mobilizing desire is.

In a context marked by emotional exhaustion and the feeling of individual powerlessness, these days invite us to continue plotting from power and interconnection. Days Enredadas: Desiring communities, suggests a move: from fatigue to power, from isolation to collective strength. Following the reflection developed in La seducción del encanto. An alternative to the society of discouragement, we understand desire not as lack, but as a relational energy capable of generating bonds, sense and social transformation.

This edition of the two-day Enradadas Days, with the support of the Ministry and the collaboration of the UPV, it is proposed as a space for the activation of collective desire, on l’art, critical thinking and community practices intertwine to imagine and rehearse other ways of being together. Confronting dominant narratives of crisis and lockdown, the days put the focus on experiences where the common is not just a management framework, but an affective and political engine of change.

Comunidades desiantes is an invitation to linger: to recognize the power of bodies when they are organized, of ideas when they circulate, and alliances when they last over time. through conversations, artistic practices and listening spaces, we will explore how communities capable of desire are built together and, from here, transform their realities.

The program is articulated as a journey through different forms of collective action, putting academic knowledge into dialogue, situated experiences and cultural practices that activate the common from care, imagination and shared commitment. More than offering closed solutions, the meeting seeks to open up urgent questions: how to cultivate collective desire in times of discouragement? What conditions allow a community to become active and sustain itself? What role do art and culture play in the reactivation of the common?

These days are linked to two Concomitentes projects: Metabolic connections, mediat per Bodyterritory i Structures of affect, mediated by Wild Mass.
