More than 30 years of professional career, PERICO SAMBEAT is the Spanish saxophonist with the greatest international projection. He began his music studies at the age of six with the piano. To the 16 start studying flute, and sax to the 18 self-taught. Shortly after he moved to Barcelona, where he becomes part of the Music Workshop, having teachers of the stature of Zé Eduardo. His prolific professional career has led him to participate in festivals and programs around the world., and to record more than twenty albums in his name and more than 150 as a collaborator, with artists like Dave Douglas, Ron Carter, George Colligan, Eddie Henderson, Bruce Barth, Michael Brecker, Wallace Roney and a long etcetera.
On this occasion Perico presents a quintet formation accompanied by a selection of the elite of Spanish musicians. They perform a repertoire of original compositions where they explore new paths, approaching different aspects of flamenco through bulerías., tanguillos, joys or joys.
